Wish Upon a (Wandering) Star

This kind of "star" is welcome on my holiday tree any year; Portishead's Wandering Star always sounds best during the frenzied, gone-before-you-know-it month of December.

I like that, never heard of them/her before but will check them out on itunes. Thanks for introducing me to someone new.

Portishead are great -- deep, brooding, and with that an occasional aggressive edge. I've been a big fan since before they put out their first album. You have excellent taste in music! :)

Thanks for the compliment, Patrick! I've been a fan of Portishead since that first album; it was definitely love at first listen.

Jen, you should run not walk to find a copy of their first album, Dummy. It's a classic. If you like this track, the rest is more of the same. Great rainy season soundtrack!

"Zeithheist" has been included in this weeks Sites To See. I hope you like the image I featured, and I hope this helps to attract many new visitors here.
